Ok, I've had terrible taste in men. Awful. One strung up on his ex, one strung out on weed, one strung out amongst a LOT of other women (including a Hooters stripper, if you believe him). I should have known none of them were serious about me... There were signs!!!!! LOTS OF SIGNS!!!!!!!! It was like a sign emporium for God's sake. And I can see that NOW. But now doesn't help. I wanted to know then. Back before I gave away my virginity to someone who was only having fun with me and was embarrassed to be seen with me. Before I got involved with a pot-head who threatened to kill me. Before I got locked in some idiot's house for a night. Bad things happen to girls all the time. We all get burned. But our experiences can help the un-burned, or stop others getting singed so often.
So, my question is: How can you tell when a guy is really, truly interested, and how can you tell when he's not and he's just playing you???

Hey, awesome, I hope it helps! 'Cause heaven knows its hard work out there with all the lying and penis-driven stupidity of the male species. Trust me too, lol, I was damn tragic. I probably still am, but I'm not single anymore so I can pretend!lol

well i say that you can tell that he likes you when
1) he makes an effoet
2) doesn't ignore you
3) doesn't delibrately hurt you
4) does hes best to make you happy
5) doesn't lie about things

Indeed. I like that you have realistic ideas about it, as well as having the self esteem to expect to be treated in such a great way! Not 'Buy you lots of stuff' or 'Says I'm really hot'...trust me, I've heard it so many times! lol Thank you so much for this comment! :)

from a blokes point of view: Say no to any kissing for at least 6 dates - say no to any sex for at least 3 months - make friends first - if he is willing to go through that process then that is quite a good indicator he is serious about YOU not your body!!

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You have such a sincere and trust inspiring ideal, I'm so glad to hear that some men feel this way. You're not just a normal guy, but an exceptional man. Of course every relationship is different and moves at different speeds, but this kind of patience and respect should ALWAYS be a part of every relationship.
